Dr. Khaled El Baba

Dr. Khaled Elbaba, MD, is an Associate Staff Physician in the Medical Subspecialities Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Elbaba ran a large General Endocrinology practice at Habib Medical Group-Rayan Hospital, Riyadh, KSA. Before his time serving in Saudi Arabia, he was an Endocrinologist at Bahrain Specialist Hospital, Manama, Bahrain.

Dr. Elbaba received his medical degree from Beirut Arab University in Beirut, Lebanon. He then completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the same hospital before completing his fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at the American University of Beirut, Lebanon.

Dr. Sahar M. Hindi

Dr. Sahar M. Hindi, MD is a Consultant Endocrinologist at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. She is dual American Board Certified in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism, in addition to Internal Medicine. She earned her medical degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine, where she received the Dean's Distinguished Healthcare Scholar Award and interned at the World Health Organization in Geneva. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Case Western Reserve University, followed by her fellowship in Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). At UCSF, she conducted advanced research with a focus on diabetes mellitus, pancreatic beta-cell function in pregnancy, and metabolic bone diseases. She has published articles in peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at major international medical conferences.

I am working as a consultant in endocrinology for few years now in Abu Dhabi. During my training and practice of endocrinology in USA, I focussed primarily on pituitary diseases. My clinical fellowship in endocrinology at the University of Michigan, was preceded by 2 years of research fellowship in neuroendocrinology at Massachusetts General hospital, Harvard Medical School. Additional I completed a post doc in pituitary developmental genetics at University of Michigan. Pituitary program has some a long way in last few years. I aspire to develop a comprehensive neuro-endocrinology program with all components in place now.

Hamdan Alawadhi

Hamdan AlAwadhi, MD, is a fourth-year internal medicine resident at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Dr. AlAwadhi graduated with honors from the esteemed Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. Following his graduation, he completed an internship at the Cleveland Clinic Main Campus in Cleveland, Ohio. Subsequently, he matched to the internal medicine program at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr. AlAwadhi holds several key leadership roles within the hospital. He serves as the Internal Medicine Chief Resident of, the Graduate Medical Education Committee Resident Representative, and the Program Safety Committee Resident Representative. Recently, he was nominated to be a representative on the Length of Stay Committee Task Force. Dr. AlAwadhi is deeply committed to advancing medical research in the UAE. He is actively involved in numerous promising research projects across various fields, setting new benchmarks throughout the region. His work is driven by a passion for improving medical research standards and outcomes in the UAE

Dr. Ahmad received his medical degree from Nishtar Medical University, Multan Pakistan and completed his residency and advanced Fellowship trainings at the College of Physicians and Surgeons, Pakistan, Indiana University and MGH/Harvard Medical School, US.

Dr. Ahmad has specialized in Neuroradiology and Interventional Radiology at some of the world's leading medical institutions. He has published more than 50 peer review articles and presentations at leading world society meetings.

Dr. Luai Eldweik

Dr. Eldweik is a staff physician in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He has done a fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus at Harvard Medical School, Boston, Massachusetts, US, and a fellowship in neuro-ophthalmology at the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minnesota, US.

Dr. Eldweik has a special interest in comprehensive pediatric ophthalmology, pediatric and adult strabismus, and a variety of neuro-ophthalmic disorders, including double vision, optic neuropathies, facial spasms, and pseudo tumor cerebri.

He received his higher specialty training in Diabetes, Endocrinology and General Internal medicine from the General Medical Council, UK. He has worked as a Consultant Physician in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Obesity at University Hospital of North Midlands, UK before moving to UAE.

He is among the few Specialist Certification of Obesity Professional Education certified specialist endocrinologists in obesity management in the UAE. Vast experience in managing endocrine conditions including pituitary disease, Thyroid, adrenal and other hormonal evaluations and management

Dr. Mohamed Samy Elhammady

Dr. Mohamed Samy Elhammady

Dr. Mohamed Samy Elhammady, is an American Board Certified Neurosurgery Consultant at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) and serves as the Section Head of Neuro-oncology in the Neuroscience Institute. He is Clinical Professor of Neurological Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University, Ohio, USA.

Dr. Elhammady received his medical degree from the University of Mansoura in Egypt. He subsequently completed his neurosurgical residency at the University of Miami, Florida, USA. Dr. Elhammady completed three fellowships including both neuro-endovascular surgery and open cerebrovascular/skull base surgery at the University of Miami as well as minimally invasive/endoscopic surgery for brain and spine tumors at the Center for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery in Sydney, Australia.

Prior to joining CCAD, Dr. Elhammady served as director of minimally invasive cranial neurosurgery and co-director of neuro-endovascular and skull base/cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Miami. He is the co-founder of the University of Miami Cerebrovascular Initiation (UMCVI). He is an accomplished author and presenter and his bibliography includes 97 peer-reviewed prestigious scientific articles, 17 book chapters, and 46 citable abstracts.

Dr Fady Geara MD, PhD is Department Chair of Radiation Oncology at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Geara served as Professor and Chairman of Radiation oncology at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, after having been recruited from the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas.

Dr. Geara received his medical degree from the University of Paris XI (France) and completed his residency then fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas.

Throughout his tenure, Dr. Geara has developed state-of-the-art radiation oncology procedures with many years of established regional and international leadership in his specialty.

Dr. Khalil Zahra

Dr. Khalil Wasfi Zahra, MD, is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Zahra was a Neurointerventional Surgery Consultant at North Jersey Brain and Spine, Mecklenburg Radiology Associates, New Jersey, US. He was also an Assistant Professor of Radiology, Neurology and Neurosurgery at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Maryland, US.

Dr. Zahra received his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Jordan School of Medicine where he graduated with honors and was ranked second in his class. He received his medical training from Stanford University Medical Center and while attending the University of Maryland, he was considered one of the best young Neuro-Interventional Surgeons. During his time serving there, he performed more than 2,000 angiograms and one of the earliest pipeline flow diversion surgeries in the state of Maryland.

Dr. Hammad Hussain, MBBS, is a Staff Physician in the Endocrinology department of the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Hussain served as an Endocrinologist at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. He was also Assistant Professor at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science.

Dr. Hussain received his medical degree from The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency at University of Pittsburgh Shadyside Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He subsequently completed fellowships in Geriatrics at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina and Endocrinology and Metabolism at University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas.

Dr. Hussain has experience in general endocrinology and a special interest in thyroid disease, disorders of calcium and osteoporosis. He has his Endocrine Certification in Neck Ultrasound (ECNU) that validates a physician's ability to perform neck ultrasound and thyroid biopsy. He is also certified to read bone mineral density reports and has vast experience in the latest technologies for managing diabetes, including insulin delivery pumps and continuous glucose monitors.

Throughout his career, Dr. Hussain has presented his work at several international meetings. In addition, he has been involved in the teaching of medical students, residents and nurse practitioners. Dr. Hussain also supplemented his academic teaching skills by completing a faculty development program at Duke University.

Dr. Hussain resides in Abu Dhabi. He enjoys reading and traveling.

Dr.khaled Aldahmani is a consultant endocrinologist and chairman of Academic Affairs at Tawam Hospital. He is also an Associate Professor at the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University

Dr. Aldahmani earned his medical degree (MBBS) from UAE University. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of British Columbia in Canada followed by fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at Dalhousie University. He also did a one-year combined clinical and research fellowship in pituitary disorders and thyroid cancer. Dr. Aldahmani is Canadian board certified in internal medicine and endocrinology.

Dr. Aldahmani holds esteemed positions within the local and regional endocrine community, including being the President Elect of the Gulf Association of Endocrinology and Diabetes (GAED), the Scientific Committee Chairperson of the Emirates Diabetes and Endocrinology Society (EDES) and a board member in the Arab Thyroid Association (ArTA).

Dr. Aldahmani is a co-founder and chairman of the Annual Al-Ain Research Day since 2016. He has several publications in the field of diabetes and endocrinology, with a particular interest in pituitary and thyroid disorders. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Diabetes and Endocrine Practice and reviews articles for various local and regional journals.
