In the nineties, after receiving his medical degree then Neurology qualification from
the University of Lille 2, Lille, France, Dr Pierre C. Krystkowiak practiced for 10 years
as a Specialist Neurologist in Lille University Hospital (its neurology department is
ranked 45 in the 2023 Newsweek world ranking, and is the 2nd best french
department of neurology).
Meanwhile, he passed his PhD in biomechanics and physiology of motor
performance in 2003 (Paris-Saclay University, Orsay, France; ranked 16 in the 2022
Shangaï ranking) then received his HDR (Habilitation a Diriger les Recherches) in
2006 (the highest academic degree in France).
Afterwards, he was appointed Professor of neurology in 2007 and moved to Amiens
University Hospital and University of Picardie Jules-Verne (UPJV), Amiens, France,
as a Consultant Neurologist.
Then he held some academic positions such as Vice-President to the University
Scientific Board and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine. He also served as CMO
of Amiens University Hospital (a 1700-bed facility).
He joined Mediclinic UAE in 2019 then Abu Dhabi Stem Cells Centre (ADSCC, UAE)
then Specialized Rehabilitation Centre, Capital Health, in September 2023.
He has over 25 years of experience in the treatment of all neurological diseases such
as epilepsy, migraine and headache, multiple sclerosis, dementia and peripheral
nerve and muscle diseases.
Furthermore, he has developed an expertise in certain areas for which he is
considered as a Key Opinion Leader: movement disorders especially Parkinson's
disease and related syndromes, Huntington disease, gait disorders and the use of
botulinum toxin in neurological disorders; furthermore, more than 25 years ago, he
was one of the pioneers in developing treatment by Deep Brain Stimulation for
tremor, Parkinson’s disease, and dystonia. More recently in UAE, he developed an
expertise in Stem Cells Treatment for some neurological disorders.
As a PhD neuroscientist and an expert in clinical research, he has published over
135 articles in international peer-reviewed journals (H-index 47) and he has been
coordinator or PI of a number of clinical trials or clinical studies, including
interventional therapies (Deep Brain Stimulation, fetal neural transplants,
apomorphine pump, Levodopa-carbidopa duodenal infusion).

Dr Giovanni Antonio Cocco obtained his medical degree in Italy, and completed his specialist training in the UK, at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, where he obtained a Master degree in Advanced Neuroimaging.
He worked for many years in the Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, UK, as a consultant neurologist, where he set up specialist clinics service for patients with epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease. He played a primary role in setting up local guidelines for the management of primary headaches such as migraine and had an active role in research and teaching medical students as an honorary lecturer at King's College Hospital, UK. He is a member of the association of British Neurologists.

Dr. Shivam Om Mittal received his medical degree from Datta Meghe University of Medical Sciences University in Wardha, India. He did postdoctoral fellowship in botulinum toxin treatment at the prestigious Yale University, where he initiated several clinical studies and streamlined unique treatment options for movement disorders. Dr Vittorio Iantorno is the Deputy Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Director of the Neuroscience Centre, Consultant and Lead Neurology at King`s College Hospital (KCH) London Dubai in UAE. He also served as the Clinical Director of Medicine for the first 18 months since KCH opened its doors in Dubai Hills. He is also an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurology at University of Sharjah and he brings with him over 20 years of European experience in the field.
He completed all his studies in Rome (Italy) obtaining his Medical Degree in Medicine & Surgery then later qualifying as Italian Board of Neurology. He then moved to UK in 2001. For many years he was the Clinical Lead in Neurology/Head of Neurology Department in one of the largest Foundation Trusts in United Kingdom (Heart of England NHS Trust), a general, specialised and community care Hospital. He also acted as Chairperson of the local Parkinson’s Disease Operational Group. Dr Iantorno worked in various NHS Hospitals in UK including East Kent NHS Trust & King’s College Hospital in London (UK), Royal Free Hospital in London & Hertfordshire NHS Trust before moving for over a decade in the West Midlands to Heart of England NHS Trust. He moved to Dubai in 2015 bringing also with him over 10 years of invaluable experience in the Private Practice in the United Kingdom.
Dr Iantorno’s clinical skills have always been regarded - by peer Colleagues and all patients - of very high clinical standards in the management of neurological diseases, assessing, investigating and treating neurological patients presenting with the whole spectrum of acute and chronic neurological conditions. Dr Iantorno believes in a patient-centred care focussing on the patient and the individual’s health care needs. Florian Roser, MD PhD, is Chief of the Neurological Institute and Department Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at Cleveland Clinic, Abu Dhabi since it’s inception in 2014.
Dr. Roser is a graduate of the Johannes-Gutenberg-University in Mainz, Germany, and studied Medicine in Morgantown, West Virginia, US, as well as in Johannesburg, South Africa. He completed his residency in the prestigious Department of Neurosurgery, Klinikum Hannover Nordstadt with Prof. Dr. Madjid Samii.
He is a Full Professor of Neurosurgery at the Eberhard-Karls University of Tübingen in Germany, serves as Clinical Professor of Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at the Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, US and is Adjunct Professor at the Biomedical Engineering Faculty at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Roser has authored over 128 peer-reviewed articles and has presented more than 190 invited lectures worldwide. He is Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, Elsevier since 2020. Prof. Roser has received several research grants from prestigious research institutions, for basic molecular research on meningioma tissue, clinical research on diagnostics in Syringomyelia and technical innovations in surgical anatomy.

Dr. Sabahat Asim Wasti,
Dr. Sabahat Asim Wasti is a Staff Physician in the Neurological Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Wasti received his bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from Khyber Medical College Peshawar, Pakistan and then moved to the United Kingdom for postgraduate studies in 1984. After obtaining the membership of Royal College of Ireland, he completed Rehabilitation Medicine training at Leeds Teaching Hospital. He then became a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, Sheffield UK, where he served for nearly nine years before moving to the United Arab Emirates to take up the position of Senior Consultant Post in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City in 2007.
He has served in both the public and private sectors in the UAE and spearheaded the development of rehabilitation services in both. He served on as a British Society of Rehabilitation representative in Consensus Reference Group for Multiple Sclerosis Guidelines, commissioned by the National Institute of Clinical Excellence.
Dr. Wasti is recognized for promoting the cause of neurorehabilitation in particular and widely respected by his peers. He is well known for his views on cultural and ethical variances and the implications of these on neurorehabilitation.
He currently serves as Regional VP, WFNR (Gulf Region), Chair Service Development SIG and Co-Chair Ethics SIG, WFNR. He has also served as Chair of several conferences and frequently delivers invited lectures.
Dr Carl-Johan Ramberg is a Consultant Neurologist at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City Ajman and associate professor at Ajman University. After completing his training at the University Hospitals of Linköping, Umeå and Örebro in Sweden, he became a Consultant Neurologist in 2005. He has also worked in Norway and Dubai and featured in Dubai Eye radio, Gulf News and Khaleej Times. Dr Carl spent the autumn of 2010 in The National Hospital of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, London, UK, following many Movement Disorder clinics. He is experienced in advanced Parkinson’s Disease treatment with Duodopa, Apomorphine and DBS.
