Academic Affairs and director of the Skull Base and Pituitary Surgery Programs at the OSUCCC \u2013 James. I joined The Ohio State University in 2010 and became a professor in 2017. My medical journey began in Brazil, where I attended medical school and finished my residency. I then completed a fellowship in neuroendocrine and pituitary surgery at the University of Virginia and another in skull base and cerebrovascular surgery at the University of Pittsburgh. I specialize in brain and skull base tumors, and I am a pioneer in endoscopic endonasal approach (EEA) and other minimally invasive techniques for brain tumor removal. I am one of only a few neurosurgeons in the world who have performed more than 1,000 EEA cases. This technique allows surgeons to access the base of the skull, the intracranial cavity and the top of the spine by operating through the nose and paranasal sinuses. My current research focuses on developing minimally invasive approaches to the brain and skull base that will result in the best surgical tumor resection possible with the least amount of disruption to normal tissue. Our individualized patient approach, combined with opportunities for research, makes The James a very fulfilling place to work. at the University of Thessaly and practices Medicine at the Department of Medicine at the Larissa University Hospital in central Greece.\nHe serves as the President of the Hellenic Stroke Organization after a 6-year post as its General Secretary. \nHe served the European Stroke Organization as a Member-at-Large of the Executive Committee between 2017-2020, as the co-chair of the Guidelines Committee between 2014-2018 and as the leading author of the Standard Operating Procedure for the development of the Guidelines. He co-authored several Guideline documents and position papers published by various scientific bodies like the European Stroke Organization, the European Heart Rhythm Association, the Hellenic Stroke Organization, the Hellenic Society of Cardiology, and the Hellenic Atherosclerosis Society. \nHis main research interest focuses on ischemic stroke etiology, prevention and prognosis. He has published more than 280 articles in peer-review journals with &gt;9,000 citations and his h-index is 51. His works were published in a broad range of journals including the NEJM, European Heart Journal, Circulation, JACC, JAMA Neurology, Stroke and others. Alzheimer\u2019s and Memory Disorders Program at Barrow Neurological Institute. He is also a professor and the Vice Chair of Research in the Institute\u2019s Department of Neurology. He is board certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.\n\nDr. Sabbagh\u2019s expertise includes the diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer\u2019s disease and other memory disorders. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Neurology.\n\nDr. Sabbagh earned his medical degree from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson and his undergraduate degree from the University of California\u2014Berkeley. Director of the Vasculitis Center for Care and Research, Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Disease and at the Cleveland Clinic,   she is board-certified in internal medicine and Rheumatology.   \nDr.  Hajj-Ali is a graduate of the American University of Beirut medical school in Lebanon. She performed her internal medicine training at American University of Beirut medical school in Lebanon,   Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester NY and the Cleveland Clinic, followed by fellowship in rheumatic and immunologic disease at the American University of Beirut and the Department of Rheumatic and Immunologic Diseases at the Cleveland Clinic. She joined the Staff at the Cleveland Clinic in 2002    She holds an academic rank of Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. She is the Vice Chair for Quality and Safety  for Rheumatology  at the Cleveland Clinic \nDr. Hajj-Ali has a particular interest in systemic inflammatory disease and vascular inflammatory disease including systemic vasculitis, central nervous system vasculitis and inflammatory eye disease. Her clinical and research interests include central nervous system vasculitis, giant cell arteritis, Beh\u00e7et\u2019s Disease, Granulomatosis with Polyangiitis and Inflammatory Eye diseases. Dr. Hajj-Ali, is the Founder and Director of many Multidisciplinary programs at the Cleveland Clinic including the CNS vasculitis Clinic and the Inflammatory Eye Disease Clinic.  \nDr. Hajj-Ali holds the alpha omega alpha honor and was elected as \u201cAmerica\u2019s Top Physicians \u201cand received the Cleveland Society of Rheumatology Best Fellow award, and the Clinical Research Award from the American Heart Association. She has been awarded the \u201cTeacher of the Year award \u201cin recognition to her excellence and dedication to the education of the fellows, residents and medical students. She has been elected by her peers   as the   \u201cBest Doctors in America\u201d and received the Castle Connolly Top Doctor for 2019 and 2020 along the Castle Connolly\u2019s Exceptional Women in Medicine award.  \nShe has lectured at various national and international scientific meetings. Her work in CNS vasculitis has been published in leading professional and scientific journals. She is the author of multiple chapters in major books for the topic of CNS vasculitis. She chairs the international consortium for the longitudinal Study for Central Nervous System Vasculitis.  \nDr. Hajj-Ali is a member of numerous societies including the American College of Rheumatology and American College of Physicians. She is currently a consultant    for the Vasculitis Foundation. She has served repeatedly in several  committees   for the American College of Rheumatology. He continued his training with an internal medicine internship and neurology residency at the University of Arkansas Medical Center. Dr. Yaghi spent two years at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital\/Columbia University furthering his training in vascular neurology.\nDr. Yaghi is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Vascular Neurology.\nHe is a fellow of the American Heart Association, active on its Stroke Council, and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology.\nDr. Yaghi\u2019s research focuses on intracranial atherosclerosis, treatment and outcome of thrombolysis-related hemorrhage, and cardiac biomarkers in patients with cryptogenic stroke.\nHe has presented widely and has been lead author of or contributor to more than 100 peer-reviewed research articles as well as abstracts and book chapters.
